LIM ReportIndependent website

Not a LIM. Open council and LINZ data, explained. Details

Method and sources

This is not a LIM. A Land Information Memorandum is issued by the council under s 44A of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987. This site and its reports bring together open data; they do not replace it.

How addresses are matched

Each address point is placed in the parcel and in the council map layers that contain it. Near the edge of a mapped area the result can differ from the parcel as a whole. Suburb pages show only shares of addresses; the report covers one property.

What is missing

Flood plains, flood-prone areas and overland flow paths (no open licence), consents, rates and valuations. Other councils than Auckland.

LINZ – NZ Addresses, NZ Primary Parcels, NZ Property Titles (without owners), CC BY 4.0; Auckland Council open data – Unitary Plan base zone, overlays and natural hazard layers, CC BY 4.0; Stats NZ – Building consents issued: August 2026, CC BY 4.0; Auckland Unitary Plan (operative, July 2026), chapters H3–H6.
